Kriss, welcome to Sweden again, how are you?
– Jag mår bra tack, skönt att vara tillbaka i Sverige. Hur mår du?
Haha, you now some Swedish, nice one! You live in London, how’s the
clubs over there now compared to Stockholm?
– Very diverse in London you can go to your super club and see the best
DJ’s in the world or you opt for the underground scene and discover
warehouse parties so much choice available for all tastes. Then there is
the Sunday scene with parties kicking of 5am Saturday morning and going
on till 5am Monday morning which attracts a very cool crowd and the
music purists, which allows new talent and parties to be discovered all
the time.
What’s the trend in house- and techno music in London for the moment?
– For me it is getting more interesting with a much deeper, warmer and
funkier for of underground music which is a nice change for me. Dance
music got soul again!
How do you prepare for a gig when playing on a big party?
– I really don’t like to prepare a set and prefer to bounce of the vibe
in the room. I try to bring a big selection of music in different
genres and love to hop from one genre to another keep it more
interesting.
Name a record that you love and that never leaves your case?
– So difficult its more producers that don’t leave the box for example
Derrick Carter, Sneak, Dubfire, Stimming, Steve Bug and Carl Craig.
You have been working with a new interesting label in London called
Landed. Tell us about that and what can we expect from them in the
future?
– Yes a cool little underground label for East London focusing on
deeper side of house. It has a real focus on finding young talent and
developing them ones to watch from the label are Youandeuan, Thomas
Rubeck, Jobody these guys are really going to have an impact in 2010.

We have heard that you love Swedish food?
– Me? Well I do have the odd craving for meatballs, herring, cinnamon
buns and as far as I am concerned the best chocolate in Sweden is
SKOTTE, fact!

– No thank you but I will have one of those Kanelbulle tack.
The club Supermercado celebrates one year now, how do you feel
playing with Esteban and Niklas?
– It’s always a pleasure to play with Niklas and Esteban, they are really cool guys that
know how to party. I played at the very first Supermercado last year and
it’s great to see how far it has come and the credible acts they have
booked.
