The Bookies are the brainchild of Nobis ‘partner consulting company, Liquid Management, already behind the extremely successful and established Nobis Hotel.
Let me start by introducing the crew that make up the Brass Bar Bookies…
Chief in command is a new arrival to the Stockholm’s bar scene, Ray McIntosh. A New Yorker with several international successful Bars and Clubs under the belt, Ray only recently moved to Stockholm, and is now ready to take on the exciting challenge. “It doesn’t come any more beautiful than this venue, and I am certain that, with the amazing team we put together, we are sure to deliver something very special” says Bookie ‘Sugar Ray.’
Ray has been very selective in choosing his ‘Bookies’ and has conjured up a fresh and energetic team, consisting of Peter, Axel & Emilie. All with a cocktail bar background, but with their heart in the nightclub scene, they are all familiar faces of the Stockholm scene.
“Giving our guests an amazing experience really is at the base of what we are about “ says Peter, (often referred to as ‘Pete the Meat’ or “Sweet Pete”), a cheeky British chap from London.’ ‘Come and see me and it’s a safe bet that you will get the proper treatment!’
“Too often I have heard in my career (7 years in Berns between other places) that clubs are for grogs, and bars are for cocktails. I never let anyone else define my work!”. A no nonsense statement from Axel, clearly a no nonsense guy. “You see, I can work faster so you can get better quality without waiting! ‘Hey, 700 cocktails pumped out in the opening weekend… that must be some type of record!’ You’re a guaranteed winner when Axel is serving you cocktails!
Then comes the Bookie sweetheart, Emilie, whom you will easily spot as the one that’s always dancing… “I love that environment and I like the people in front of my station… why shouldn’t I? I’m not too serious myself, so why pretend while I’m working. Bookies like to have fun!!’

Our latest cocktails are of the highest quality so whether you are in the party mood sip away on a ‘Pretty Woman’ or a ‘Gossip Girl’ or if you have had a hard week at the office and need a good old stiff drink with a bit of kick, try our famous ‘Don Draper’ out for size. We Bookies guarantee by using all sorts of techniques to try and workout the most likely outcome – this is called the favorite (Bookie terminology!). The least likely is the long shot.
