– Orange Muse Biografi –
Orange Muse is Tobias Linden, a Swedish DJ/Producer who has been involved in the house scene for many years and is still looking to perfect the ultimate house groove. As Tobias explains;
”My ambition is to combine an organic, analogue sound with a funky groove. Add a touch of Scandinavian mood and that’s pretty much what Orange Muse is all about”
He hasn’t been far away from perfection with his past releases on Subliminal Soul (as Olive Muse ‘Leavin”), Essence (“You”) and of course the seminal “Keep The Funk Alive” on Soulfuric Recordings. The sublime original was backed by remixes from Jazz N Groove and the Soul Avengerz – an explosive package that topped all the buzz and hype charts and remained in all the top DJ’s sets for month’s. Tobias recorded these tracks with partner Mats Landberg who has subsequently left to explore other avenues outside of music, leaving Tobias to fly the flag on his own.
Since then Tobias and Orange Muse had a strong relase on Swiss based label Map Dance Records. “After All” features the soul-drenched vocals of UK songstress D’Empress and a very sexy bassline that is inspired by Chic’s “I Want Your Love” – a combination that caused a stir on dancefloors across the globe. Add to that mixes by Soul Central & Morten Trust, and this release made it into the box of many DJ’s around and was a
firm Ibiza favourite. Also featured in UK television and as main theme for the launch of much hyped book “Here’s your f-king coffe sir!”
Aside from the music productions, Tobias works as a photographer running a communications agency specializing in audiovisual identity work. Tobias DJ’s regularly all over the world in venues such as Miami, Melbourne, Paris and of course Sweden. He is often invited to DJ at high profile parties for the
likes of Tommy Hilfiger & Absolute Vodka, whom he toured with in the Summer of 2006. His mixing skills are always in demand by big corporate clients like Apple, Absolut, PUB and Camel., for whom he has written theme songs, mixed and put together
compilations for comercial release.
Now heavily involved in a new project under the moniker Black Muse, a new soundscape is emerging featuring a soon to be released EP and exciting collaborations. When compared to Orange Muse flavour the sound is deeper, more electronic with driving beats and sublimiinal bass lines. Now receiving sdtrong inicial feedback from fellow DJ’s, this unique blend of house meets old scholol techno is set for a bright future.
